The 18th annual Global Cannabis March will take place the first Saturday of May, 2016. Locations are sprinkled throughout the globe with more than 200 cities currently signed up to participate. The event will feature educational seminars, information booths, concerts, rallies, meetings, festival food and lots of friendly conversations intended to inspire world-wide marijuana reform. The Global Marijuana March goes by a few titles including the Million Marijuana March, World Cannabis Day and Ganja Day.
The Seattle Hempfest is the worlds largest gathering in support of marijuana decriminalization with the intention to educate the public and inspire political reform. What started in 1991 with only a few hundred people in attendance has evolved to include an average 100,000 participants and counting. On August 19 21, 2016, Seattle will host its 25th annual protestival which will include seminars, political rallies, live music, food vendors and an arts and crafts festival. Special guests have yet to be determined but the events Facebook page will keep interested attendees in the know while the details get ironed out.
The Great Midwest Marijuana Harvest Festival is the longest-running marijuana festival in the world. Now facing its 46th year in production, the event will occur during harvest season in October and feature live music, educational speakers, popular vendors and big-name sponsors like the Wisconsin NORML family and The420Baker.com. Attendees can also expect some passive activism in the form of a festival-wide smoke-out.
Marijuana reform will not be handed to us; we must demand it. Cannabis activists across the world gather annually to fight for the freedom to consume. Will you be joining the movement this year?
