High Country Healing loves their weed, and it definitely shows. They have seriously awesome customer service, are super kind, and weed that’ll knock you on your ass. It’s at 9,600 feet and maybe it has something to do with the altitude, but I swear I got more baked than usual.

It would be really easy to go a bit overboard when you’re there, and all I can say is prepare to stay for a while. The selections of goodies they have is overwhelming and one of the best I’ve seen anywhere in Colorado period.
When you leave High Country Healing (which you might not want to do) Summit County is literally a ginormous playground. Whether you’re there in the winter or summer it’s amazing and breathtakingly beautiful. It’s got some of the best skiing and riding in the world, and even though cannabis technically isn’t legal on the slopes, you know the locals have been puffin’ in those trees for years.
Take a bike ride around Lake Dillon in the summer, rent a kayak, go cool off and watch a movie at the Stardust Cinema, grab a beer at the Dillon Dam Brewery or get your retail therapy on at the Silverthorne Outlet Center. There’s a free bus called the Summit Stage that will take you anywhere you want to go, ski resorts included, which is particularly awesome in the winter months if you’re not used to driving in the snow.
So if you’re skipping the city and headed straight to the slopes, High Country Healing in Silverthorne has got you covered on all your cannabis needs. Don’t forget to smoke safely and remember that you are at over 9,000 feet sea level. Trust me, you will feel that much higher.
